IEASA focuses on the internationalisation of Higher Education in South Africa and the rest of the Continent through the following goals: 

• Develop sustainable mechanisms of resource procurement for IEASA's programmes
  
• Strengthen the operational infrastructures, systems and communication mechanisms
  
• Develop capacity of academics and professionals in international education
  
• Further develop IEASA as a useful information source and a resource for best practice and ethical standards regarding international education
